Cars / voitures
Do not buy cars, you are neither allowed to drive them (because the foreign drivers licenses are not accepted) nor will you get an insurance or a registration for the car! And it is a crime to drive cars witout drivers license or registration / insurance!
N’achetez pas des voitures! Vous n’êtes pas autorisé à conduire (car les permis de conduire étrangers ne sont pas acceptés) et il vous est impossible d’immatriculer un véhicule ou de prendre une assurance. C’est un crime de conduire des voitures sans permis de conduire et/ou sans assurance!
Open an account / Ouvrir un compte bancaire
1) Take your official proof of residence („Meldebescheinigung“) and your ID-Card (white paper with passport photo or your ID (“Aufenthaltsgestattung”)
2) We recommend the bank “Sparkasse” official link of the Landratsamt to the info of the „Sparkasse“
3) As a fee you have to pay 3 Euro
4) You are not allowed to overdraw the account!
5) The monthly payment from “Landratsamt” is transferred at the end of every month. No cash!
6) If there are problems regarding the ATMs, please ask the volunteers
7) There are “statements of account” as a documentation about the account activities. Please, go to the Sparkasse-ATM and print them, otherwise they will be sent to you from the bank and fee is required. Please, keep the documents!
8) If there is a change in your residence you have to cancel the giro account by yourself!

- L’argent que vous recevez de Landratsamt sera dorénavant transféré par virement bancaire.
Plus aucun versement en espèce ne sera fait !
Chaque réfugié doit se rendre à Landratsamt pour faire connaître ses coordonnées bancaires (IBAN, BIC, numéro de compte, nom de la banque) - Si vous rencontrez des problèmes avec les distributeurs, n’hésitez pas à demander de l’aide aux bénévoles.
- Les relevés de compte doivent être imprimées depuis un distributeur sans quoi les frais postaux pour leur envoi vous seront facturés. Les conserver est une obligation légale.
- Si vous déménagez de Freising vous devez fermer le compte vous même.
Circumcision of baby boys in Germany/Circoncision en Allemagne
Circumcision of baby boys is not considered a medically necessary procedure in Germany, therefore health insurance does not pay for it. You have to pay out of pocket if you choose to circumcise your son out of traditional or religious reasons.
- The children’s hospital in Landshut offers the procedure once your son is 1 year old. You can then present your son to the surgeon ( Phone: 0871 8520) and he will explain the steps. The procedure is done under general anesthesia and costs 300 Euro.
- Dr. Kastner from the Schwabing Chlidren’s hospital offers circumcision once the boy is at least 1/2 year old. You will make an appointment with him ( he speaks English and Arabic) (Phone: 0151 51738816) The procedure is performed as out-patient surgery in his office on Candidplatz in München. He also works with an anesthesiologist and it costs 250 Euro.
- Dr. Abdulfatah Haidary has his office in Sendlinger St. 37 in München. (Phone: 089 89617619) He does circumcision by request. You will have to present your son in a separate appointment to clarify the best procedure. I could not get any general information about the costs. It depends on the procedure.
Circoncision en Allemagne
La caisse d’assurance maladie ne rembourse pas la circoncision d’enfants car il ne s’agit pas d’une nécessité médicale. Vous devez donc payer de votre poche.
L’hôpital de Landshut le propose aux enfants à partir d’un an. Vous pouvez alors présenter votre enfant au chirurgien (téléphone : 0871 8520) et il vous expliquera les différentes étapes. L’opération est réalisée sous anesthésie générale et coûte 300 Euros.
Dr. Kastner de l’hôpital pédiatrique de Schwabing propose la circoncision des enfants d’au moins six mois. Vous pouvez prendre rendez-vous avec lui (il parle Anglais et Arabe) (téléphone : 0151 51738816).Il s’agit de chirurgie ambulatoire dans son cabinet Candidplatz à Munich. Il travaille avec un anesthésiste et la consultation coût 250 Euros.
